July 18th, 2008 Yes, that's right. You asked for it, you got it!. It's starting out small, but with your input, additional images will be added with a very short turn around. Through the store, you'll now have the ability to purchase prints, posters and framed pieces of art...delivered right to your door step. New images will be added all time, but if there is something you want...ASK, and I'll make it happen. Take a peek...The H2o Pictures Store Posted

July 6th, 2008 Well, this 4th of July was my first chance to take some picture of fireworks with a digital camera. Things just happen to fall into place for this...weather was clear with a slight breeze, great position and the Moon was right behind almost every shot...sweet!! I've posted two of my favorites in the Scenic section. Posted

June 19th, 2008 Last night was pretty interesting. Mote Aqurium has two
Pygmy Killer Whales (Feresa attenuata)in thier hospital for
care and treatment after a stranding. One of the whales was taken to
a local MRI facility last night for testing. Here is a link to some
of the images I took of the event (link). And lastly, the web site for The Talking Monkeys Project is complete and up and running. Please take a look at the web site and donate what you can. They are an incredible organization! Posted

Sunday, April 20th, 2008 A few months back, I was approched by Justin Richard and Eric Ballard, chemistry graduate students at North Carolina State University. They wanted to use one of my images for a reaserch paper. Being able to share my images is one of the main reasons for me to have H2O Pictures, so I was more than happy to help. As it turns out, the paper they wrote was published in the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) this month. And the picture made the inside cover of the journal (RSC). So, to Justin and Eric....a job well done!! On a different note, this weekend I was invited to visit the "Talking Monkey's" primate rescue center here in Florida. What a wonderful facility. I can never say enough about the people that dedicate their time...their lives in fact, for the protection and caring for animals that can no longer be released into the wild. I've posted a few images from this weekend in the Projects section. Posted

March 19th, 2008 Well, we took a mini vacation last week to Animal Kindom in Disney World. Not exactally an exotic travel destination, but it does offer the opportunity to see and photography animals that we might not have a chance to experience in the wild. So I've added a few from our trip to the Animals section. I'll have a few more ready to add later in the week. And for those of you who live in the Sarasota / Bradenton area of florida, if you recived the local Yellow Pages on your door step, you'll notice a picture of Moonshine (one of the local dolphin residents at Mote Marine). Yeah, that's my picture. Pretty Sweet!!! Posted

November 25th, 2007 Winter is starting out hot this year. I just found out that the turtle shot I captured back in August (see the creature link below), has made it as a full page image in the 2008 Florida Gulf Islands Visitors Guide. And I've made the cover of the winter issue of Mote magazine with a Snook image, along with a handfull of other images for the covers article. I've also posted some new images from Mote in the Projects tab as well as few feathered friends in the Animals tab. So please take a look and enjoy! Posted

August 23rd, 2007 A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to Siesta Key for a special treat...the release of a few Green Sea Turtle hatchlings. I've posted a few of my favorite images in the Creatures section. At only a day or two from hatching, you can't begin to imagine what drive these little guys had. There is so much we don't understand...where do they go....how do they know...the list goes on. Watching them scurry to the water was really something to see! Thank you Kelly ! Posted

July 6th. 2007 I've made a few minor scientific classification corrections for some of the animals from the Sydney Wildlife world. Also, new images from our inital visit to the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, Fl.. can be found in the Animals section. I'm planning on making a return visit there towards mid July. I'll be testing out some new hardware, the Canon 100-400mm Telephoto-Zoom IS Lens. So, I'm pretty excited to see what kind of images we can capture with the new toy. Stay tuned! Posted

May 20th, 2007 Back
from Australia, and look what I've found....Koala's, Koala's, Koala's!!!
These little guys are a cute and furry as they look. With the assistance
of the great staff over at the Sydney
Wildlife World, I was able to spend some quality time with all their
animals. You can see some of what I captured in the Projects
and Animals
tabs. A sincere thanks goes to Anja and Katrina for making me feel
so welcome. Posted

May 1st, 2007 Some exciting things are happening this month for H2O Pictures. First, we had a few images appear in the Summer addition of Mote Magazine. Thank you Nadine and Jamie. Second, the children's book "Those Delightful Dolphins" is set for release in a few weeks. In which there will be a couple dolphin pictures that you may have seen from this site. And finally, the author Robert Kurson, who wrote Shadow Divers (a New York Times best seller) is expected to have his next book hit the store shelves May 15th; Crashing Through. I was fortunate enough to have met with Robert a few months ago, and in a shameless act of self-promotion, invited him to visit the web site. Funny how things work out sometimes. He did. A few days passed, and Robert asked if he could use a few images for the new book. So needless to say, I'm a pretty happy camper right now! Oh yeah, and I'll have pictures added from the Australia trip mid May...sweet! Posted
